Safety Control of Computers and Precautions on Use (April 28, 2004)
一般的な注意事項
共同利用の計算機・ネットワーク等のシステムの利用にあたっては、システムの障害（事故）は他の利用者に対して大きな損害を与える可能性があることを常に認識して ､障害の発生原因をつくらないように留意すること ｡そのためには ､計算機利用システムの利用規則を守り、特に、システムの立ち上げと終了時の手順を正しく行うこと ｡また、異常を発見した場合には ､速やかにマニュアルなどの指示に準じて対応すること。加えて ､異常時の状況や対応した処置を記録しておくこと。適宜、バックアップを行い、障害が発生したときの被害を最小限にする努力を怠らないこと。
General Precautions
In the use of systems shared by all such as computers and network, it should be constantly borne in mind that system failures (accidents) can incur serious damages to other users, and all efforts must be made to prevent such failures. To ensure this, observe regulations on use of computer systems, in particular, start and quit systems correctly. If problems are discovered, promptly refer to the manual and carry out troubleshooting as instructed. Also note down the details of the problem and the countermeasure taken. Also implement backup appropriately to minimize damages should problems occur.
利用上の注意事項
ディスプレイ装置（ＶＤＴ）を凝視する作業を長時間に渡り行うことは、目などを痛める原因となるので、適度に休息を取りながら作業を行うこと。電子メール、インターネットの利用で、社会的な常識を考えて、個人を誹謗したり、公序良俗に反するような情報を流すことは法律的にも禁止されている。
Precautions on Use
As looking at the display (VDT) over a long period of time can cause eye damage, etc., take a break appropriately. In the use of email and Internet, exercise common sense, and bear in mind that defamation of individuals and the distribution of information which offend good public order and morals are prohibited by law.
セキュリティの管理
パスワードの管理は、計算機システムのセキュリティ保全の基本であり、その管理は十分に注意して行うこと ｡特に、外部の計算機と連結しているネットワークでは、通信回路を経由する外部からの侵入に十分な注意が必要である。必ず、システム管理者を置き、定期的に侵入をチェックし、ルートパスワードの管理や変更を厳密に行うこと。また、通信回路からの接続法やパスワードの公開は、必要最低限にとどめること。ウイルス感染の危険性があるソフトを使用したり、持ち込まないこと。さらに、許されていないシステムへの侵入が法律上、禁止されており、絶対に行ってはいけない。
Management of Security
Password management is the basis of maintaining the security of computer systems, and must be carried out carefully. In particular, adequate measures must be taken to prevent hacking of networks connected to outside computers via communication routes. Be sure to appoint a system administrator to check for invasion periodically, and carry out root password management and changes thoroughly. Also minimize disclosure of connection methods from communication circuits and passwords. Do not use or bring in software which may be infected by virus. Never break into unauthorized systems as such acts are prohibited by law.
